AirPro’s industrial plug fans deliver dependable, efficient airflow for demanding process applications, including industrial ovens, dryers, curing systems, heat-processing equipment, air recirculation systems, and other high-temperature environments.
Plug fans are commonly used for recirculation and process airflow, helping move air through chambers, enclosures, and process systems to support consistent temperature distribution, process stability, and product quality. Their compact, chamber-mounted design makes them a practical choice when efficient use of space is critical.
AirPro can provide both standard and custom industrial plug fan solutions, with a new standardized plug fan line coming soon. This gives customers a faster path to reliable, repeatable plug fan solutions while preserving AirPro’s ability to engineer custom configurations for more complex applications.

Plug Fan Types
Unhoused Plug Fans
Unhoused plug fans are a common configuration for process chambers, enclosures, ovens, dryers, and recirculation systems. Designed to mount directly into the system wall or enclosure, they provide efficient airflow without the need for a traditional fan housing.

Housed Plug Fans

Belt-Drive Plug Fans
Belt-drive plug fans are a strong choice for high-temperature applications because the motor can be located outside the hottest portion of the airstream. AirPro can provide belt-drive plug fans for applications above 1300°F, depending on the system design and engineering review.

Direct-Drive Plug Fans

Plug Fans with Integral Inlet Cone
AirPro can provide plug fans with an integral inlet cone to help secure the inlet cone directly to the fan. This option can simplify installation, improve fit, and support more consistent airflow into the fan wheel.

FEATURED FAN
Custom Plug Fan for High-Temp Industrial Oven Airflow
AirPro engineered a custom forward curved plug fan for an industrial process application requiring high-volume airflow in a demanding elevated-temperature environment.
Designed for a large process heating system, this fan was built to move significant air volume against moderate static pressure while supporting continuous operation at temperatures up to 800°F. The unit was supplied as a free-standing Arrangement 1PL plug fan with a belt-drive configuration, unitary base, and direct mounting to the process enclosure.
To support long-term reliability in the high-temperature airstream, AirPro incorporated an insulated 12-inch plug and a heat slinger to help protect the shaft, bearings, and drive components from excessive heat exposure. The forward curved wheel design provided the high-volume, low-pressure performance needed for the application, while the custom plug construction helped align the fan with the system’s installation requirements.
