Fan Outlet Temperature & Flow Calculator
Calculate fan outlet volumetric flow rate, outlet air density, and outlet temperature
Calculate Outlet Conditions
Calculate Inlet Conditions
Calculate Temperature Rise
Fan Efficiency Calculator
Typical Use: For induced draft systems with design based on fan inlet conditions: Predicting fan outlet conditions for specifying and sizing downstream system and system components; Correlating fan inlet and outlet conditions to fan curves and airflow test data
Fan Inlet Conditions
Select + (positive) or - (negative) from dropdown, then enter pressure value
Fan Outlet Conditions
Using Total Efficiency - ensure inlet and outlet pressures are total pressures

Calculator Notes & Assumptions
Application: This calculator is for air having an isentropic exponent of 1.4, constant mass flow, and single stage fans. User assumes all risks and liability.
Temperature Units & Entry: All temperatures are in degrees Fahrenheit (°F). Enter temperatures as actual temperature values not in absolute (i.e. °Rankine = °F + 459.67).
Pressure Units & Entry: All pressures are in inches of water gauge (in. wg. Pg). Enter pressures as actual gauge pressure values using + (positive) or – (negative) to indicate above or below standard atmospheric pressure. Standard atmospheric pressure used for calculations is 407 inches water gauge.
Efficiency & Pressure Basis: If using fan total efficiency, inlet and outlet pressures must be entered as total pressures. If using fan static efficiency, inlet and outlet pressures must be entered as static pressures. For the most accurate calculation, use fan total efficiency and total pressures.
Calculations are based on work by Dale Price and James N. Friedman, PE, CIH on the thermodynamic properties of airflow and are intended as guidelines for use. User assumes all risks and liabilities.
