CE Marking for European Compliance
CE stands for Conformité Européenne, or European Conformity. CE marking indicates that a product conforms to applicable European requirements for health, safety, and environmental protection for products placed on the market in the European Economic Area, which includes the 28 member states of the European Union (EU) plus Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and Turkey.
By aligning our specifications and documentation with these requirements, AirPro can provide industrial fans for customers who need equipment built for European compliance. For some customers, this is a procurement requirement. For others, it is an important part of supporting international operations and broader market access.

ATEX Ratings for Hazardous Environments
In addition to offering CE-marked industrial fans, AirPro can also provide fan constructions designed for applicable ATEX requirements in environments where explosive gas or dust may be present.
ATEX, derived from the French Atmosphères Explosibles, refers to European directives covering equipment and workplace conditions in potentially explosive atmospheres. These classifications help define the level of protection required based on how often an explosive atmosphere is expected to occur.
AirPro can manufacture industrial fans for the following ATEX categories:
- Category 2G for Zone 1 gas
- Category 2D for Zone 21 dust
- Category 3G for Zone 2 gas
- Category 3D for Zone 22 dust
This gives customers additional flexibility when specifying fans for hazardous process environments.
