Bring new life to legacy equipment with reverse engineering services.

When components of your industrial fans or blowers become obsolete, damaged, or unavailable, you don’t need to replace the entire system. AirPro provides comprehensive reverse engineering services, sometimes known as retrofit and repair, to restore and enhance your equipment’s performance, reliability, and lifespan.

Common Reverse Engineering Applications:

Supporting emergency repairs with rapid turnaround

Replacing obsolete, discontinued, or custom parts

Restoring damaged fans or blowers to original or improved performance

Upgrading legacy systems with newer design enhancements

Why Airpro

Why Choose AirPro’s Reverse Engineering & Retrofit Services?

Performance Upgrades

Opportunity to improve upon original designs for greater efficiency, quieter operation, and longer service intervals.

Rapid Retrofit Capability

Reduced downtime with fast, on-site assessments and retrofit solutions tailored to the specific fan.

Quality Materials & Workmanship

We match or exceed original specs for durability and safety.

Clear Documentation

You’ll receive updated engineering drawings, performance data, and maintenance guidelines.

Reverse engineering is the systematic process of analyzing and re-creating fan or blower components when original drawings, specifications, or suppliers are unavailable or unwanted. Our expert engineers disassemble, scan, and precisely measure your existing equipment, then create accurate manufacturing drawings for replication or upgrade.

When replacement parts are no longer available or performance needs to be improved, our reverse engineering services offer a smart, reliable solution. We take a detailed, methodical approach to recreate or enhance components—ensuring fit, function, and durability every step of the way.

  1. Inspection and disassembly of existing fans or blowers
  2. Detailed measurement of all critical parts
  3. Design and drawing of new components
  4. Material selection and manufacturing
  5. Installation support, if requested

FEATURED Project

Reverse-Engineered Fan Replacement Built for Long-Term Performance

After evaluating the application onsite, AirPro engineers determined that reverse engineering the customer’s original 1991 fan design would provide the best long-term solution. The replacement was engineered for demanding process conditions, including a 10 PSI rating, gas-tight construction, a swing-out arrangement for easier maintenance, and specialized alloys selected to withstand aggressive chemicals and corrosion.

The project preserved the proven fundamentals of a fan that had performed reliably for more than 35 years while incorporating a newly engineered replacement designed to deliver the same level of durability for decades to come.
