High Pressure Blowers
High Pressure Blowers, which are also referred to as forced draft high-pressure fans, are the go-to design for continuous duty industrial applications with high static pressure and low airflow. They can move clean air, light particulate, or vapor, and can be customized to handle abrasive, sticky, and hot airstreams.
Most High Pressure Blower wheels have straight radial blades with the blade tip positioned at a 90-degree angle from the hubs. This design keeps the wheels free of debris as the clean or particulate-laden gases flow through the fans. For improved efficiency characteristics, some wheels have different blade shapes.
Our Pressure Blower line includes two numbers, which is an aberration compared to most other products we offer. We chose this naming to help our customers identify the pipe sizes easily during fan selection, as blowers need to connect to ANSI standard pipe fittings. The 2-digit character in the name indicates the ANSI pipe flange size of both the outlet and the inlet. We kept this consistent so our customers can more easily duct in and out of the blowers.
The wheel type is designated by the trailing letter in the product name, and there are Open and Shrouded wheels available to help hit multiple desired performance and application characteristics.
P##B – blower designed with an open radial steel wheel. Engineered for low air volumes at high static pressures, this product performs well across much of its fan curve due to its open radial design.
P##D – blower designed with an open radial steel wheel. Narrower than its B blower counterpart, the D blower hits lower volumes at even higher static pressures. With a continuously rising performance curve, it ideally hits performance points when very low volumes are required.
P##A – blower designed with a shrouded, radial, riveted aluminum wheel. Engineered for low air volumes at high static pressures, this product offers another solution for high pressure requirements. Its lower cost of construction due to the riveted wheel and its higher efficiency resulting from the shrouded design concept make it a good offering for a wide range of applications.
P##C – blower designed with a shrouded, radial, riveted aluminum wheel. Narrower than its A blower counterpart, the C blower hits lower volumes at even higher static pressures. Similar to the A, its lower cost of construction and higher performing shrouded design yield appealing performance metrics at attractive price points.
P##G – blower designed with a shrouded and curved steel wheel. Engineered for peak performance, this product is capable of the highest efficiencies out of the radial designs. This product performs nicely when higher performance is required for an application and clean gas is expected.
