Custom Paddle Wheel Design

This particular fan was the second of two custom retrofit fans for a pharmaceutical plant. Originally manufactured by a company that is now out of business these fans failed seven years apart. Our application engineers took measurements of the existing fans on-site to design, build, and slip upgraded duplicates into place.

We designed both custom paddle wheel fans with Hastelloy C-275 airstreams and housings to increase the lifespan in the corrosive pharmaceutical plant environment. They also include 60HP direct-drive motors with modified features to protect the motor shafts.

Hastelloy C-275 is a corrosion-resistant nickel alloy that contains a small amount of tungsten. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of harsh media and environments.
